Great building. Slinky springs to fame. Pedestrain Reinforced concrete deck on steel columns. The elegant pedestrian bridge over the Rhine-Herne Canal is part of the project "EMSCHERKUNST.2010" combines the concept of the artist Tobias Rehberger, a colored band wrapped around a light, vibrating spiral, two existing parks. The ease of this design is created by the minimum reduced to a supporting structure of the bridge strap. Two metal strips are steel aushochfestem over the canal inclined props out, the resulting tensile force is removed through outer vertical tension rods in strong abutments.
Serve as a running surface screwed precast concrete, where the bridge railing and spiral are attached. The springy plastic lining the walkway and the rhythm of colored concrete flooring and reinforce the dynamic experience of the bridge. Railings made of steel posts and cable networks carry most potent in this living bridge for vibration damping.
