Great Building. Architects Orange, a collaboration between the Dutch architects JSA, and CIMKA Hofman Dujardin, working on the design and realization of The Cube. The 50 meters high tower contains 19 apartments ranging in size between 90 and 180 m2. This luxury residential tower on plot 941 is the Sin El Fil district in the eastern part of Beirut. The design is made on behalf of developer deLibanese Masharii.
The apartments occupy, from the second floor, an entire floor. By turning the volume on each floor so each layer is created on the roof of the lower neighbor, a generous space in the form of a large terrace and a panoramic window overlooking Beirut.The facade on each floor consists of two transparent windows and two bearing walls, which consistently each floor is rotated 90 degrees. The walls are perforated and iconic for both the exterior and the interior.
Thanks by Orange Architects placed in the center core containing elevators and stairs, the apartments have open-plan map. The floors effort to speak in one of the core to the walls.
The project is in the final design phase. Last week, both the client and the manufacturer gave the green light for the next phase. Start of construction is expected during 2012.
